Cooling machine is one of the important machines of the rotary kiln system and its functions are to cool the clinker from the rotary kiln from 1000-1300℃ to below 200℃ and to improve the quality and grindability of the clinker.

Working principle:

The cooling machine is a heat exchange device, it is based on air as the medium through the high temperature of the clinker, then cooling the clinker, and at the same time recovering the heat of the exhaust gas as the kiln secondary, tertiary air and the drying air, improving the thermal efficiency of the kiln .

From thermal and process perspective to evaluate the rotary drum cooler:

1. Recovered more heat;
2. Cooling clinker time is to be shorter, faster, especially between 1250 and 525 degrees;
3. After cooling, the clinker temperature is to be low;
4 Air consumption of cooling per unit mass of clinker is to be less, generally in 2-2.1Nm3/h;
5. Simple structure, convenient operation, easy maintenance, and operation efficiency.

With the development of the cement industry, the type of cooling machine is more, the main types of cooling machine have:

1. Monocular cooler (rotary cooler): all this cooler cooling air into the kiln, its thermal efficiency is high, structure is simple, do not need to waste gas treatment equipment. Slow cooling the clinker, clinker temperature of the extruder, so the secondary air into the wind is uneven.

2. Multi-barrel cooler: more cylinders surround the kiln shell, so that it does not need to have a special power and dust collection equipment. However, this will increase the load on the kiln shell, while the clinker cooling effect is not very good.

3. Vertical cooler: because the cooling air goes into the kiln, thermal efficiency is high, no gas treatment. It is easy to affect by the particles.

The operating parameters of the cooling machine:

In actual production, each device is not isolated, the operation between cooler and kiln is mutual restraint and influenced. The analysis must be based on the specific circumstances. Usually its main parameters are:

1. Material thickness is uniform, it is possible to generate the same gas flow resistance, the gas can be uniformly distributed throughout the material layer. This is the basic condition for the normal operation of the cooling machine.

2. High-pressure air flow in the cooler section, the air pressure of the cooling air is high, the air volume is not great, its exhaust gas as secondary air into the kiln. The air volume is conducive to the clinker cooling, but can also cause secondary low air temperature, while kiln fly ash will be relatively large.

Cooling machine is the device used to cool materials in industrial production, so using cooling machine can lower the temperature quickly and reduce the natural cooling time.
